Update - Dec 14
First of all, a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have provided support to Francis and Adeline since the update was shared last week. Whether emotional or financial, it means a world of difference and they are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love.
At this time, Francis is with Adeline, Zella, Oscar, Félix, and his mother, Lisette, in their Seattle home. He has now restarted chemo following a difficult stint in the hospital battling a non-COVID related lung infection, and while he is very weak, he is home, which is the most important part. He is very thankful for all the messages, videos, and photos on the kudoboard, so please keep those coming! He has enjoyed the trips down memory lane, so please know that he has seen and is appreciative of your messages so far.
The care team is working hard to help Francis recover from his time in the hospital and get Francis as strong as possible in order to qualify for the trial stem cell transplant, and we will continue to provide updates as we learn more. While we await further news, we want you to know that your financial support is so appreciated, as medical bills have been accumulating as the family and their care team look to clinical trials and research studies to determine the course of treatment. We have been blown away by contributions - no matter how big or small, it’s felt. At the time of this writing, we’re at 336 donations on GoFundMe and the page has been shared 536 times!!! This isn’t even including the donations that have been sent via other methods. Please help us keep the momentum going and share the GoFundMe (again or for the first time!) with your social circles.
Thank you again for your continued support and we will check in soon - keep sending those positive vibes into the universe!
